Port Detective will use remotely located servers to scan your local Internet ports on your PC and Internet Service Provider and tell you what specific ports are Open, Blocked, or In Use. It also makes a great utility for discovering security holes in your Firewall or Proxy. This allows a Dialup, Cable Modem or xDSL user to discover what ports are available for Hosting their own Web, FTP or Mail Server, and also allows someone to better secure their local firewall or proxy. Port Detective checks the most popular Internet Ports including: WWW, FTP, SMTP, POP3, LDAP, IRC, TELNET, IMAP4 and many more. It also allows you to select a custom port number to check. Port Detective sends your results to our servers and displays them in your browser.
